Situated on the ‘ old drovers road’  the Ty Gwyn still stands with many original features intact. Oozing with character from wooden beams, stone walls, log fires and tiled floors ,in the past the Ty Gwyn was one of seven Inn’s within the village of Rowen first opening its doors as a free house in the early 19th century, Ty Gwyn went on to be purchased by JW.Lees in early 1960’s & now a family business it is said openly that Ty Gwyn is still  ‘ The Jewel’ in the crown in North Wales
